Enviromedica is an innovative natural health and wellness company, applying science-based evolutionary theory to understand what drives the human body toward or away from optimal health. This research is reflected in a full spectrum offering of foundational support products the body can easily recognize, including our Ancient Minerals brand products. It is our hope that by spreading the word about the benefits of magnesium, specifically topical applications, we can support the battle against magnesium deficiency and its related causes and effects.

Ancient Mineral FAQ:

Why can topical applications of magnesium chloride be so healing?

Topical magnesium is healing by way of the skin, a living, breathing organ with tremendous potential for re-mineralizing the body. The skin has the ability to absorb substances that are then carried by the circulatory system around the body. Ancient Minerals magnesium products penetrate the cells with dramatic results on cell biochemistry, and are inexpensive, safe, and convenient.

Is Ancient Minerals magnesium “oil” actually oil?

Actually no, although this is a common misconception. Magnesium “oil” is a term that was coined early in the development of transdermal magnesium therapy. It refers to the hygroscopic nature (attracts water molecules) of a highly saturated solution of magnesium chloride in water along with other trace elements. This super-saturated solution happens to present itself in an oil-like texture and lends itself particularly to absorption via the skin.

I experience some tingling when I apply the Ancient Minerals magnesium oil or gel. Is this normal?

Some users of magnesium oil and magnesium gel with sensitive skin may experience tingling and/or slight irritation at the site of application due to the high concentration of magnesium chloride. This is completely harmless, and varies based on a number of factors, including how much is applied and where it is applied on the body.

Diluting the magnesium oil 1:1 with pure spring water can reduce this effect, although this is a matter of personal preference. Those who experience this effect also report that the tingling lessens with each subsequent application.

Another option is to choose Ancient Minerals magnesium lotion or magnesium bath flakes, for use in foot soaks and/or full body soaks, which offer a gentler form of transdermal magnesium therapy, for those with extremely sensitive or broken skin.

Will magnesium applied topically produce a laxative effect like oral magnesium supplements?

No, there is little to no potential for a laxative effect. This is a fundamental advantage of using Ancient Minerals magnesium products topically, as your skin can naturally self-regulate the absorption of minerals.

Ancient Minerals Magnesium Lotion Benefits:
The benefits of applying magnesium directly to your skin are plenty, including:

Helps detoxify cells

Helps decrease inflammation

Helps improve sleep

Helps lower stress and anxiety

Helps reduce muscle aches and pains

Ancient Minerals Magnesium Oil side effects:
Side Effects may include: loose stools or diarrhea.

Recommended usage:
To use, simply apply the desired amount of Ancient Minerals magnesium lotion into cupped hand and massage onto skin thoroughly.

Ingredients:
Purified water, Genuine ZechsteinTM magnesium chloride (and other naturally occurring trace minerals), organic vegetable glycerin, organic simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil, olive squalane, cetearyl olivate, sorbitan olivate, organic cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, glyceryl stearate, cetyl alcohol, organic butyrospermum parkii (shea butter), hydroxypropyl starch phosphate, xanthan gum, caprylhydroxamic acid, caprylyl glycol.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0654/3284/6410/files/products_00853956003812_en_01_251634f9-dab5-40ab-a5d1-ae6cf0522359.jpg?v=1751833501
ancient-minerals-magnesium-bath-flakes-1-65lb
Ancient Minerals Magnesium Bath Flakes (1.65lb)

Ancient Minerals Magnesium Bath Flakes are highly soluble, dry magnesium chloride bath flakes.
